Hello Artspotter! Well, I must confess I don't know who made them, but I'm already trying to get this information. They are in the Spandauerstraße(Mitte) in Berlin. On the background you can see the Nikolai Church. I will let you know as soon as I know it. Have a very Merry X-Mas!
Hello Gustaaf, I've already posted this at your X-Mas picture. The sculptures are from Stephan Balkenhol. You can go to these sites: http://www.google.de/search?q=Stephan+Balkenhol&start=10&sa=N
Thank you Mena M. When I saw your picture,I thought it had to be some place in Germany, maybe because of the shape of the church. I love the "verticality" in this picure. I saw the first sculptures by Balkenhol (maybe 10 years ago) in a Belgian artgallery (Deweer). It were beautiful woodcuts, painted like middle-age sculptures. They were very impressive, but I did't expect to see them on a column outside. They seemed so fragile, not supposed to be in northern weather-conditions... But maybe these are in other materials... Thanks for all the information (i'll go through very soon) and have the time of your life... now and in 2007!

Uma distância intransponível.
O que me comove: duas figuras, duas torres, dois candeeiros. Pares. Distantes. Nunca sobrepostos. Gosto desta imagem.
Original esta fotografia: 3 distâncias, todas elas diferentes, tocando o céu azul.
Lovely picture... who made the sculptures and where are they?(Please?)
